Chicago, Illinois (January 15th, 2020) – REX Electric and Technologies (REX), a Chicago-based leader in electrical construction and technology solutions, announced today that Patrick Lancaster will be appointed President.
“This is an exciting time for REX, and I’m honored to be entrusted with leading the company alongside an exceptionally talented team,” said Lancaster. “I have deep respect for all the work that has taken place to build REX’s foundation, and I look forward to working closely with members of the management team during this next chapter as we continue to transform the company and create opportunities for future growth.”
Lancaster’s executive leadership and experience in the electrical contracting and construction industries spans nearly 25 years. After taking the helm of REX’s Building Services team in 2008, the division quickly flourished into a critical engine for REX’s growth. Most recently he served as Executive Vice President of Electrical Construction, where he was charged with accelerating growth for the division.
“I have worked closely with Patrick for well over a decade now, and I am very confident he will be a strong leader for REX,” said REX founder/former owner and CEO Dominic M. Sergi. “Patrick has a crucial understanding of what it means to deliver client success, from the first meeting to the final product delivery. His contributions and dedications to the company, employees and clients during his tenure have been immense and I look forward to seeing him take REX to new heights.”
Patrick Lancaster was appointed by Chugach Alaska Corporation, who acquired REX in 2016.
“Patrick is the right person at the right time and embodies everything that is good about REX, including deep connection to the community grounded in the company’s history and legacy passed on by it’s founder,” added Chugach Commercial Holdings Vice President of Operations, Peter Andersen. “He is an energetic and visionary leader with the experience needed to continue REX on the right path. We are very fortunate to have him as our next President.”
